What’s Happening?
Upcoming Events
We will be meeting on Friday, November 21st at 6:30pm for our next prayer meeting. This will be at our Portsmouth location.
Purpose of the group: To provide resources, prayer support, and accountability for those looking to grow in personal relational evangelism
Structure: Meet biweekly from 12-1 on Sundays in Dover at the church building. Each meeting we’ll go over a tool for engaging in spiritual conversation/evangelism, then spend time in prayer/share updates on the people in our lives we are being intentional to share the Gospel with. The next meetings are on November 2, November 16, November 30, and December 14.
We’d like to invite you to our next Creative Prayer night — happening on December 6th. If you haven’t experienced Creative prayer before, it’s a time of prayer that’s a little different. Instead of just sitting and praying quietly, we’ll move through hands-on prayer stations that help us connect with God through creativity, reflection, and even a bit of play. It’s prayer that engages our minds, hearts, and bodies — and opens space to experience God in fresh ways. Our last Creative Prayer was a really meaningful time and people shared how God spoke to them in surprising ways, and how powerful it was to pray alongside friends and family in this format. There will be stations for all ages and stages — so come for an hour or stay the whole time! We’d love for you to join us as we slow down, get creative, and make space to meet with God together.
On Sunday November 23rd we are having our next celebration where we gather our 3 congregations together. It will be Thanksgiving week, and so we want to take up our special annual Thank-offering, as we did last year.
We have two special offerings a year, in addition to our regular giving. One in the Spring for Mission, and then this one in the Fall which primarily goes to help people in need. Last year our church was very generous and gave over $40K. It has helped numerous people inside and outside the church. People who are struggling have received support through receiving gift cards, help with rent, counseling, and medical costs. It has also helped us to serve the communities we live in: through the Manna organization serving homeless people in Rochester; at Gosling Meadows Public Housing in Portsmouth, and giving support to Mothers and children in transition at New Generation.
This November, let’s make this another magnificent offering that will honor the Lord as our provider and bless many more people, resulting in much thanksgiving to God. (2 Corinthians 9:11-13)

Sermon Series - DAVID
We will be looking at 1 Samuel this Fall and 2 Samuel next year. We will also be following along with some studies on David in our community groups, looking at how David points us to Jesus our true King.
Our hope is to draw closer to God and come into a better understanding of his grace as well as his purpose for us in this world. Check it out here.
Here is a quote to whet your appetite from author and pastor Alan Redpath:
"The Bible never flatters its heroes. It tells us the truth about each one of them in order that against the background of human breakdown and failure we may magnify the grace of God and recognize that it is the delight of the Spirit of God to work upon the platform of human impossibilities. As we consider the record of Bible characters, how often we find ourselves looking into a mirror. We are humiliated by the reminder of how many times we have failed. Great has been our stubbornness but greater still has been His faithfulness. Nowhere is this more true than in the story of the life of David."
